Coaching
At Manzanita Moziacs we offer holistic coaching, which we define as a process of providing direction, training, and mentorship on the path to self-healing, wholing, and souling. We like to to use the metaphor of transpersonal alchemy as a way to describe our holistic coaching as we take the base material of your current life and engage in a process of transmutation, transforming a person into a multidimensional, soulful, human animal of deep imagination, wild nature, and creative expression. As transpersonal alchemists, providers who transform a person’s sense of identity beyond the egocentric self, we hold the belief that each person is creative, resourceful, and whole at birth. This serves as a guide as we accompany you on the journey to self-healing and recovery of wholeness that may have been hidden by life experiences within the context of culturally prescribed ways of being that run counter to our eco-centric soulcentric birth right. Contact me to schedule a sample session.
Alchemical imagery is one way of telling this same story in terms of getting the gold out of the base matter. The gold is captured in base matter: prima materia. And through the alchemical cooking and whatever else they’re doing, pouring things in and so forth, the gold is brought out. And the gold is your own spiritual life that is clouded in the pure matter of your physical interests. The operation of the mythic meditation is to bring out, elicit, the gold of your spiritual character. You have to move into this slowly, and that’s what ordeals are. The ordeal is a gradual clarification and purification of your life.

Counseling
Clinical Approach: I believe that a trusting, supportive relationship provides the necessary framework for healing to take place. I seek to understand each person’s lived experience and help them connect to strengths within that will foster growth and well-being. I take a person-centered approach incorporating mindfulness-based interventions, shame-resilience, expressive arts interventions, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Professional Interests: I practice as a generalist with experience working with emerging adults, trauma survivors, individuals struggling with eating concerns, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals seeking treatment informed by their faith tradition. I joined Graceway after 14 years of experience working in college counseling centers. In addition to working in college counseling centers, I have gained experience in community mental health settings, intensive day programs, and rape crisis. My clinical interests include integrative health and wellness, spirituality/religion, trauma related to interpersonal violence and sexual assault, post-traumatic growth, and social justice. I am a licensed psychologist in Illinois and New Mexico while also holding credentials with The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association as a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant and Educator (REACE) and a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) as well as ordination as an interspiritual interfaith minister through One Spirit Learning Alliance. For further information, check out my Psychology Today page or contact me.
