Rewilding the Self: Body, Mind, Spirit, Soul.
Rewilding the Self:
Body, Mind, Spirit, Soul
We bring together healers, teachers, visionaries, and warriors of social change to explore paths to self healing and wholing through expressive arts, contemplative practice, and nature-based wanders, so that we can heal the parts that have been broken by dehumanizing systems, restore and resource our facets of wholeness, and engage in compassionate action to save what we can save of the human and more than human world in a time of unraveling.
Wildness…it is perennially within us, dormant as a hard-shelled seed, awaiting the fire and flood that awakes it again.

I am Dancing Heart, one who dances between the inner world of deep imagination, dream work and shadow and the outer world of relating with people and the more than human world. A dream from over 20 years ago, led me to this dance. In this defining dream, I gave birth to twins. During my waking life when creating art or while walking in nature, I reflected on the dream asking questions about who are the twins or what is two?
The dream became a personal call to develop the capacity to sit with paradox within myself and others. It was encouraging me to learn how to hold opposing views and values in search of understanding and common ground. As I started acknowledging the divides within my own heart, I developed more compassion for myself and others.
So this Dancing Heart continues dancing between the worlds seeking ways to heal the divide within myself and others while seeding hope that we can address the complex problems of this time together from a place of wholeness and healing that supports the well-being of all people and the more than human world.
Wholing & Self Healing
We are being called to the wild aspects of our nature, that part of us that is strong and immovable as the mountains, yet holds hidden treasures in the various nooks, crannies, and valleys of our lives. As we seek to stand unshakeable by the events around us, we are developing awareness of the terrain, our inner and external landscapes. The prevailing winds may sweep through and change the weather patterns, but our climate remains grounded in wholeness. In the midst of the storms, we remain committed to our wholeness and self-healing, and we seek resources to support us on our way.
When it seems that the storms have overtaken you and the riverbeds have dried up, we at Manzanita Mosaics can be a well-spring and sanctuary. We want to help you on your path.
When it seems that the storms have overtaken you and the riverbeds have dried up, we at Manzanita Mosaics can be a well-spring and sanctuary. We want to help you on your path.
Through me course wide rivers and in me rise tall mountains. And beyond the thickets of my agitation and confusion there stretch the wide plains of my peace and surrender. All landscapes are within me. And there is room for everything.
~ Etty Hillesum, An Interrupted Life & Letters from Westerbork
